We would like to acknowledge that Mom2Mom’s work predominantly takes place on the ancestral, traditional and unceded territories of the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓-speaking xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) and salilwata?4 (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, the Skwxwú7mesh Sníchim-speaking Skwxwú7mesh Uxwumixw (Squamish Nation), on whose territories we support women and children. As an organization that serves a majority Indigenous population, we stand in solidarity and recognize their enduring resistance. As we continue working on these unceded territories, we aim to build a strong community that fosters nurturing relationships and provides support to keep families together.
