Mom2Mom is thrilled to announce a three-year, $30,000 commitment from Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group to support low-income moms and children in Vancouver.

Mom2Mom improves the lives of children in poverty by supporting their moms. The majority of the 75 moms Mom2Mom currently serves are indigenous, with a history of trauma, and raising children as a single parent on social assistance. Mom2Mom’s program pairs moms with a dedicated volunteer who offers a consistent relationship and connection to a supportive community.

Mom2Mom families receive monthly grocery support, regular visits with their volunteer, and access resources such as household necessities and children’s clothing through Mom2Mom’s network. Participant moms also meet regularly for workshops, community cooking events, and exercise.

With the support of CC&L, Mom2Mom will add eight new families to our program each year for the next three years.

“We have been so fortunate to find such a committed partner in CC&L. The members of the Board understand the importance social connection plays in stabilizing low-income families, and ultimately providing healthier, more secure children,” said Mom2Mom Executive Director, Jess Chant. “We’re thrilled to partner with them.”

June 2018 marks the first year of the three-year commitment from CC&L to provide $10,000 annually to support expansion of Mom2Mom’s programs to more families in Vancouver.

Thank you Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group!
